Customer Reviews

Es war eine sehr gut erklarte Tour und wir haben durch unseren sehr guten Guide viel Neues erfahren. Ein Muss fur jeden Tourist !!!! - Mario

Very well-organized tour with pick-up directly at the hotel. On the way to Langa in a small bus, there is a short, informative stop above District Six. In Langa, we are handed over to a local guide, who first takes us to visit a kindergarten. This is followed by a tour of various parts of Langa. Some very poor accommodations are also visited and described from the inside. The tour provides a good first insight into life in the township and gives you an idea of how more dramatic it might look in even less developed townships. Afterwards, a minibus takes you back to the hotel. All our guides were very friendly, informative, and spoke very clear English, which even non-native English speakers could understand well. - Tom

The Tour itself was adequate. The driver gave us information as we drove up to the Township. However, once we met the guide at the township, he was ineffective in teaching us about the area. The group was very disorganized getting started as the driver wanted us to go through a community centre and look at crafts and drumming before the tour leader could even start. The tour leader was difficult to hear and did not seem to have a command of the group. Everyone was scattered about and when he spoke it was not to a collective group. He appeared to answer only questions directed privately to him. We seemed to just walk around the township and I did not leave feeling like I had a very deep understanding of the area. The guide was pleasant and kind, just not effective as a tour leader. - Vera

Une experience forte et deroutante qui permet de mieux comprendre et apprehender l'histoire des townships de ses habitants... Encore beaucoup de chemin a parcourir pour permettre a tous les Sud-Africains de vivre dignement - Christophe

The tour was not only informative but also eye-opening, prompting us to reflect on social issues and the importance of community support. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to broaden their perspective and learn about the rich culture and history of the townships. Our guide was knowledgeable and shared personal stories that helped us connect on a deeper level with the community and its challenges. Thanks a lot for this tour. - Tina
